Cookies and browser storage
What the public website and the AWM application store on your device, and how you can manage it.

Two different services
The public website at airsideworksmanager.com and the signed-in Airside Works Manager application serve different purposes. A statement about the public website does not mean that Microsoft sign-in or the application stores nothing on your device. Browser local storage and session storage matter for privacy as well as cookies.
The public website
The website application does not set advertising cookies, use an advertising pixel or load a marketing tag manager. Its fonts and illustrations are served with the site. The enquiry form holds what you type in the page while you complete it and sends the enquiry when you submit it; it does not intentionally save a form draft in browser storage.
Hosting and security systems can process connection information and may use a security challenge or strictly necessary security cookie. They are separate from advertising or optional analytics. Sending a request to our hosting provider necessarily exposes connection information to that provider.
Website analytics is not part of the standard published configuration. Introducing optional analytics or other non-essential device access requires an assessment, an updated notice and consent before activation where the law requires it. Calling a tool “cookieless” does not by itself make its processing anonymous or exempt from consent requirements.
The AWM application and Microsoft sign-in
The application uses the following storage for sign-in and requested functionality. These entries describe purposes and lifetimes; exact Microsoft storage names can change with its authentication software.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration and control |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft authentication cache | Account and authentication state used to sign in and restore an authorised session across tabs. | Local storage can persist after closing a tab or browser. Token expiry and identity-provider policies control validity. Use sign out and clear site data on a shared device. |
| Redirect and session state | Complete sign-in, return to the requested page, and prevent repeated reauthentication loops. | Generally limited to the browser tab or authentication transaction; the identity provider may have a separate session. |
| Display preferences | Remember your selected theme and time-display setting. | Local storage persists until overwritten or cleared by you or the browser. |
| Enabled diagnostics | A session identifier and bounded pending measurements for application reliability diagnostics. | Session storage for the tab. Measurements already sent to the service follow the retention described in the privacy notice. |
| Identity-provider cookies | Microsoft or your organisation’s identity provider manages its own authentication and security session. | Its settings and privacy notice govern those cookies. Signing out of AWM does not necessarily sign you out of every Microsoft service. |
External content and connections
Depending on the selected map layer and deployment, the application requests imagery or map-font resources from external services. Those services receive the connection details needed to answer the request, such as an IP address and browser information. A request can disclose which map tiles were requested. This is a data flow even where no cookie is set.
The service-provider page explains these connections and identifies optional server-side integrations. The privacy notice explains the wider use of account, activity and operational information.
Your controls
You can inspect and clear cookies and site storage in your browser, restrict third-party cookies and sign out when you finish. Clearing or blocking required storage can interrupt sign-in, discard session continuity or reset preferences. Closing a tab alone does not clear all persistent authentication state.
We do not present an advertising consent banner when no optional advertising or tracking is being offered. If optional processing requiring consent is introduced, accepting it must be a genuine choice, with a way to withdraw that choice. Contact support@airsideworksmanager.com if you need help identifying storage or a connection used by your deployment.
